Holiday Outdoor Adventure
The year 2020 is finally coming to an end, all of the chaos of the past month is slowly becoming a thing of the past. With all that has happened throughout the year it is a guarantee that everyone is exhausted and in need of a much-deserved break and adventure to help get over 2020’s hurdles.
Luckily the Lowveld is a truly beautiful place that is filled with stunning natural locations and exciting places to visit during the holiday and Christmas season
Chimp Eden
Located just outside Nelspuit lies an amazing location, a sanctuary called Chimpanzee Eden. Founded by Dr. Jane Goodall, a chimpanzee specialist and scientist, with the goal of rehabilitating and healing of chimpanzees that have been found homeless because of deforestation, poaching and black market trading.
Visitors are able to visit the sanctuary and go on an educational tour, learning all kinds of exciting and interesting facts about the many chimpanzees that call the sanctuary home. This is a fun family adventure that can be experienced throughout the year and is quite exciting interacting with some of the chimps.
Sudwala Caves
Located about 80km from Nelspruit, lies one of the oldest natural caves in the world. Sudwala caves can be found somewhat up a mountain against a large open rock face. Visitors are able to enter these caves and explore the deep and spacious rooms within. Sudwala Caves have stunning displays of stalactites and stalagmites along with stunning rock formations that are illuminated in beautiful lights.
Mafunyane
Luckily for us in the lowveld, Christmas time and holiday time is hot, humid and sunny and the perfect remedy to cool off and have fun with friends and family. Just outside Riverside mall, the location provides a truly convenient and fun placement, allowing families and friends to cool off and have fun at the park and then going to the mall to do some shopping or to eat at the restaurant after a fun and exciting day.
Panorama Route
The Panorama route is the famous nature route that stretches the length of the Lowveld and includes many famous tourist destinations that can make a perfect full day outing. Some of the amazing locations that litter the route include Graskop, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and also the Blyde River Canyon, that in of itself , contain some amazing adventures and locations to visit of its own.
